How do I book a tour?
For a simple booking flow and instructions see our How to Book page.
Why was I asked for a Pilgrim Registration after booking a tour.
We require the Pilgrim Registration to be completed ASAP after booking.
This information is required so we can book flights, accommodation, visas and to supply to the group organisers for you permission to attend the tour.
You risk loosing you booking and deposit if you do not complete the Pilgrim Registration as requested.

To access the Pilgrim Registration form after making a booking:
  1. Login and view "My Account"
  2. The first item on the My Account page is the "Pilgrim Registration" button click and follow the instructions to complete.
  3. If you dont have all your information yet then complete what you can and return later and use the "Update Pilgrim" button
Do I have to fill in the Pilgrim Registration form?
Yes, this form is a mandatory requirement to complete the booking process.
We require the Pilgrim Registration to be completed ASAP after booking.

Who can take part in WYDs?
All young people of good will around the world are invited to World Youth Day. Usually young people aged 14 to 30 years participate in the event, with the average age is between 16 and 25 years. Naturally, young families with children younger than 14 years are also invited, knowing that the World Youth Day Office cannot take on the task of looking after younger children.
Are WYDs directed exclusively to Catholic young people?
WYDs have a clear Catholic identity, but are directed to all young people of the world. The experience of past events has shown that they are an opportunity for thousands of young people from all over the world to be able to establish friendships and learn from one another.
How much of a deposit is required and when do I pay this?
A deposit of AUD$500.00 (NZD$600.00) per person is required once you register for WYD on the website.
If I don’t have a credit card, how can I pay my deposit?
If you do not have a credit card, you can pay your deposit by cheque or direct deposit into our account. Details of payment options are provided when you register.
How will I know if I am confirmed on my tour?
Once you register and pay a deposit you will receive a confirmation itinerary and invoice advising your registration has been accepted.
Can I make progress payments on my tour?
Yes, you can make progress payments on your tour.
  1. Simply login and view "My Account"
  2. On the main page under "Additional Payments" select "Make a Payment"
  3. Choose the value you want to make a progress payment (you can only select th options or multiples of these values).
  4. Proceed to enter you name and booking number (if you know it).
  5. Confirm and pay via credit card, direct deposit, gift certificate or cheque
  6. We will then apply the payment towards your booking and confirm this in an email.
Are deposits refundable if I cancel?
All deposits are non-refundable and may be claimed through insurance if cancellation is due to illness or any other insurable reasons.
When is final payment due?
Final payment will be due 15 April 2011.
Is travel insurance included?
Travel insurance is not included in the package cost.
Comprehensive Travel Insurance is strongly recommended for all pilgrims travelling to WYD2011.

Do I require travel insurance?

Some group organisers require you have travel insurance, they will inform you directly of their policy.

When should I buy travel insurance?
Iis strongly recommended that you purchase Comprehensive Travel Insurance as soon as you have paid a deposit on yout travel.
This should (depending on the terms of cover) cover your deposit and any progress payments made on the trip if you have to cancel for reasons beyond your control such as health or injury.

When will I receive my travel documents?
Tour documentation is dispatched approximately 2 weeks prior to departure.
What is the best way to take money with me?
We recommend a combination of cash and travellers cheques in Euro, and if possible obtain smaller denomination bills. You may also withdraw money from ATM’s in major cities from your own account. However check with your bank to confirm you can use your ATM card internationally.
